We have a variety of nanny levels and rates to suit every family budget and experience need:
Entry Level Nannies~ $16.50 hr/ 1 child

Please Note: We do NOT charge mileage fees for the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton areas or require you to provide meals for our nannies as our competitors do. Further, all of our nannies are adults and work solely with our agency!
Our Entry-Level Nannies are nannies who are CPR & First Aid Certified. While they do have childcare experience, it is often babysitting for families and has not involved anything in the professional realm. Entry-Level Nannies are often college students who work for the agency part-time and have begun training with Hilton Head Nannies.
Our Elite Nannies are nannies who are professionals with a good deal of experience which may include working as a professional nanny, a babysitter, a preschool teacher, school teacher, or various other child-related fields. In addition, our Elite Nannies have CPR & First Aid Certification and are in the process of completing Hilton Head Nannies required training, which is a year + long program.
Our Platinum Nannies are nannies who have 10 plus years of experience working in the childcare arena. It is our Platinum Nannies that we recommend to families who have infants/newborns, children with special needs, or families with multiple children under four years of age. These nannies have extensive experience and training, including CPR & First Aid Certification, and have either completed the Hilton Head Nannies training program or are in the process of completing our program.

*All rates are hourly based with a minimum charge of 4 hours (3 hour appointments are available with a surcharge of $8.00). Taxes will apply. Reservations that do not begin until after 8:59 p.m. require an additional fee. Cancellations require a 48 hour advance notice. Holidays and special event weeks require an additional fee.
Policies & Procedures
Do I need advance Reservations? For in-room childcare, advance reservations are recommended. It is advisable to book your childcare reservation as soon as possible, but at least 2 weeks to 30 days in advance. However, we retain a large number of caregivers on call and, while we can't guarantee a last minute appointment, we make every effort to provide for last minute needs. We can often have someone to you in as little as one hours time!
How far in advance can I book reservations? We are available to book in-room childcare reservations up to 12 months in advance.
If I book multiple appointments, will we have the same nanny come each time? We recognize that it is important for children to have the same HHN nanny come when multiple appointments are booked. Therefore, it is our policy to always send the same nanny to you when you make multiple, advance reservations. While there may be some situations that are out of our control (no advance reservations, for example), we will always work with your childrens' best interests at heart and strive to have the same nanny for your family's needs.
Can you provide care in other areas, such as Tybee Island, Savannah, and Fripp Island?
We do provide nanny & sitter services on Tybee Island, Savannah, Fripp Island and surrounding areas. Because of the travel time involved, we charge 30 minutes travel time for Savannah/Tybee Island and 1 hour travel time for Fripp Island each way. The booking fee for surrounding areas is $15 per appointment.
What ages do your nannies typically care for?
Hilton Head Nannies provides care for children ages 4 weeks to 14 years. We also care for children with special needs.
Will my nanny speak English? Yes! All of our nannies are required to speak fluent English! It is imperative that our nannies are able to communicate with us, with you, and with the children.
Will I be able to reach my nanny while she is with my children? You will! All nannies are required to have a working cell phone with them at all times. They can be reached via cell phone if they are outside playing or via the room/condo/home number if cell phone reception is poor inside.
What happens if I have an existing appointment and I need to get in touch with the agency after hours? Every client is given an after hours cell phone number so that administration can be reached. In addition, Jennie, the owner, lives on the Island, and is always happy to speak with our clients about any of their needs or any questions they may have! We believe in an "open phone" policy and invite you to touch base with us as needed!
How are you different from other services? We were the first and remain the only Full-Service Nanny & Babysitting Agency in the Lowcountry that is solely dedicated the providing for childcare needs. Other small sitter services have popped up, but those small services are often people who operate by referring friends and relatives. In fact, one applicant who was not up to the Hilton Head Nannies standard has gone on to pursue babysitting by forming her own service. We are professional, diligent, and we have very high standards. With Hilton Head Nannies, you will experience unsurpassed quality.
Can we have a specific nanny be "on call" for our family during certain hours or for a certain day? Absolutely. However, the nanny must be paid for those hours even if her services are not utilized, as she is unable to accept work with other clients or make personal plans. We are happy to work with you to ensure flexible scheduling for your family so that your vacation is everything that you desire it to be.
Carla was wonderful - we loved her and will certainly book her next time we are in Hilton Head. We felt so comfortable leaving her with our 18-month old son. She pushed him endlessly up and down the little street in front of our house in his push car and played puzzles and read books. He slept through the night both nights she sat! Other policies:
Our professional caregivers will arrive at your room or rental unit wearing a Hilton Head Nannies' photo identification badge. We also ask our caregivers to show a government issued photo-ID upon arrival. You will always know the name of your nanny in advance.
All parents are required to sign a childcare release form before leaving the children with the caregiver.
Our professional caregivers are not permitted to release a child to anyone other than the parent or legal guardian unless advance arrangements are made with the office.
Water activities are not permitted (bathing, boating, swimming).
When traveling to a restaurant or activity with a caregiver, transportation cannot be by private vehicle. Shuttle, chartered transportation, taxi, or resort transportation is acceptable.
We are happy to send nannies to areas outside of the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton area! Travel fees do apply.
Our caregivers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Reservations may begin as early as 6:30 a.m. and/or as late as 11:00 p.m. There is no limit to the number of hours that you may utilize a caregiver.
Payment is by Credit Card/Debit Card only. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted.
The minimum appointment is 3 hours. However, clients who book a nanny for an appointment that is longer than the 3 hour minimum will be charged for the full appointment even if they do not utilize the nanny's services for the entire appointment.
Our caregivers are able to accept a gratuity in cash if you feel that you were extended exemplary service. However, our caregivers do not expect a gratuity.
Vacation Nanny & In-Room Caregiver Qualifications
Our professional caregivers are required to:
· Have a genuine love and respect for children · Be at least 18 years of age (though 80% of our nannies are over the age of 30) · Have verifiable childcare or teaching experience
· Go through a 12 phase application process · Provide a minimum of 5 childcare references · Provide a minimum of 5 personal references · Be in good general health
· Be certified in child/infant CPR & Basic First Aid · Go through a thorough interview & evaluation, screening process, and criminal background check process
· Be willing to attend Hilton Head Nannies 12 month training program, including the Stewards of Children program
· Be willing to be technically supervised without notice (i.e. Nanny Cameras) should the clients so desire and be willing to undergo random and unannounced drug testing as required by the agency.
· Have a working cell phone with them at all times & provide that cell phone number to parents.
Please note: Our nannies do NOT bring their children with them to appointments. Our nannies are professional nannies who are solely devoted to the safe and loving care of your children.

Reservations
A $25.00 deposit by credit card for each appointment is needed for our office to place you on our books. This deposit is nonrefundable, but it is transferable** so that you can change the time or date of your appointment. This deposit will apply to your balance at the end of your appointment. **Long-term (nannies who are placed with you for two weeks or longer) summer vacation nanny appointments are excluded.

Cancellation Policy
While reservation deposits are non-refundable, no further fees are charged when at least 48 hours notice is provided for cancellations. Cancellations without 48 hours notice are billable for 50% of the total reserved time. Long-term vacation nannies (those who are placed for two weeks or longer) are billed for 100% of the reserved or "on-call" hours.
